Stewart Lee

Head of Sales, Sales Solutions, APAC, LinkedIn

Stewart Lee assumed the role of Head of Sales for LinkedIn Sales Solutions in the Asia Pacific region on January 1, 2016 where he is responsible for driving adoption of market-leading sales enablement tools and bringing to life the Sales Solutions vision of "Helping every sales organization in APAC become more productive and successful".

Stewart brings with him more than 2 decades of leadership and business development experience. Prior to joining LinkedIn in September 2013, he was Corporate Account Director, UK at Hays PLC. Over a 10 year career, he also had the opportunity to set up their inaugural IT division in Prague, Czech Republic.

Before joining Hays PLC, he helped set up a new venture of High street branches for GE Global Consumer Finance and also spent time at Citi group, also within their consumer finance business.

He is a believer in the simple fact that although the world of sales is constantly evolving, people will always buy from people. As a result, relationships matter more now than ever before but alas, how you go about building those relationships is unrecognizable.

When not evangelizing about modern sales, he is a self-professed foodie, a 9 handicap golfer and admits to a slight (but manageable) gadget addiction. The Evolution of Sales Navigator

How to be A World Class Social Leader

Jay Soo

CEO, Moving bits

Currently moonlighting as the CEO of Moving Bits (a company he started in 1998 to secure directing gigs), Jay’s career highlights include directing TV commercials for Universal Studios Theme Parks, industrial videos for the likes of Keppel Corp, even a full-length documentary for the Smithsonian Channel in the USA (CHILEAN MINE RESCUE went on to win a Silver Medal at the 2012 New York Festivals), amongst others. He is also a member of the judging panel for the prestigious New York Festivals Show.

An ex-musician who’s played his share of parties, weddings, bar mitzvahs, clubs and even a stadium or two, today Jay is a director by vocation. Graduating with Honors in Studio Guitar from the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California, he spent the first few years of his working life as a music producer, arranger & composer for short films and (mostly) television commercials – even winning a couple of awards for Best Jingle. In a strange twist of fate (read “jobless musician”), he started directing videos, which led to directing TV commercials. And it was whilst directing commercials that he found his true calling – one that’s won him a CINE Special Jury Award, a Nomination for a Cannes Lion, a New York Festivals Best Direction nomination and a Gold at the US International Film & Video Festival. He is also a member of the judging panel for the prestigious New York Festivals Show. Highly motivated and imaginative, Jay is always trying to bring a new point-of-view to every shoot he directs. And, provide a unique vision for the company he runs. A company which the Smithsonian Channel describes as “one of the world’s best non-fiction producers”.

Mike Parsons

Head of Brand Activation, APAC. Universum

Brand builder by day, dad by night! I work with employers to help them build their employer brands into the competitive advantage they need to stay relevant and get ahead in their field. Right now, let alone in the future, there is not enough skilled talent to meet demand, and being unable to attract the talent and skills your organization needs can be debilitating, or even terminal.

Being an employer of choice is more than just a nice award to pick up, it has become a key business strategy for leading organisations around the world. I help employers to understand talent data, create employer branding strategies, and to position themselves as dream employers. On this mission, there is no tool more powerful than social media, making it key to a strong and robust employer brand. I have been working with Universum, the global leader in employer branding, for four years. In my role heading up brand activation for Asia Pacific, I get to work with a host of the largest and most progressive domestic and international employers across the region; helping them to build their employer brands, communicate with target talent through social media, and to meet their talent and business objectives. Prior to my time at Universum, I have worked across several media and marketing roles that have taken me from London to the Middle East and now Asia, where I have been living happily for the last eight years.
